Kitchen Remodeling Project - Wrolstad Family.
The Wrolstad kitchen project consisted of a fresh new layout and design, with all new cabinets and appliances. The owners wanted a wine theme to be incorporated into the plan for a personal and refined touch.
The floors were sanded and refinished, but not replaced. A new lighting plan was also done. The window to the backyard above the kitchen sink was replaced with a new window that had a stone sill to set plants on. With so many things being moved, the electric was also upgraded as part of the project.
New kitchen highlights:
Door opening rebuilt to have arched tops, which brought in some old-world charm to the project.
Custom-made vent hood installed using stainless liner, with plaster for exterior to match walls. It was then hand-painted wit a light patina finish.
Cherry cabinets with cherry stain along with matching cherry trim around base of hood. Special pewter tiles inlaid into cherry along hood base.
Uba Tuba Granite used on counters
A handy new bar area was created at rear of kitchen and just inside patio door to back yard. The sink water and drain were connected to plumbing in the guest bath on the other side of the wall.
