Kitchen Remodeling Project - Rallens Family
For the Rallens, a kitchen upgrade was long overdue. They like the layout of their cabinets, but the dark oak finish felt outdated and the tile countertops were difficult to keep clean. The owners also wanted to update the windows behind the sink area to maximize the view of their beautiful.
The Rallens family was an absolute to work for. At first, Mrs. Rallens was nervous about the idea of change but after a couple of days she threw caution to the wind and decided to add all-new 1x6 oak floors in both the kitchen and family room. It was time for a fresh start! I loved see her smile every day at the job site.
New kitchen highlights
6-inch oak hardwood flooring in kitchen and family rooms
Maple cabinets in prairie style, painted Creme Mocha with crown molding
Mini penisula built at end of counter.
Decorative tile added to window to complement kitchen design
6x6 tumbled travertine tile used on backsplash and walls with offset joints and matching grout
Bronze hardware from Restoration Harware
The panoramic window setup in this kitchen allow for a breathtaking view of the backyard. Special glass was used to minimize heat transference while allowing plenty of bright light in. Undercabinet lighting adds elegant ambiance as well as functionality.
