Kitchen Remodeling Project - Picard Family
The Picards wanted to fully modernize their kitchen, but had already install new granite counter tops. To save the counter tops, a cabinet re-facing was preformed in lieu of adding brand-new cabinets.
The layout of the kitchen remained unchanged, but all new cherry doors were installed to update the look and feel of the space. All appliances were reused or left in place, and the cook top was replaced with new downdraft venting through the floor. The granite was trimmed to size to fit the new cooktop.
Cherry cabinets with walnut stain.
3 1/4 inch cherry crown molding on top of cabinets, and cherry light rail on the bottom to upgrade the look and feel.
New hickory floors installed in kitchen but throughout family room and back hall laundry.
New fiberglass back door to deck replaced with larger glass area for beautiful views to the back yard.
Cherry trim was used on all edges of the island to give the kitchen a welcoming arts-and-crafts feel.
New cherry corbels were made and installed to support existing granite counter.
