Kitchen Remodeling Project-Leachman Family
The Leachmans had several goals in mind when starting this project. They really wanted a more mature kitchen that could be shared with friends and neighbors. They had an open mind about what could be done, and seemed to like our suggestions about opening up space to the family room.
The old oak cabinets in the original kitchen were replaced and the lighting was updated. We also eliminated the dated layout that featured a half-wall to the sink. The objective overall was to make the space more family-friendly, so that the kids could be in the kitchen at the same time as the parents.
New kitchen highlights
Natural oak floors and granite
Stone backsplash installed on all
walls below cabinets for a richer look.
Cherry cabinets with natural
stain and oil-rubbed bronze hardware
Custom-designed island in place
of half-wall to open up the space
A stunning copper vent hood with stainless liner was used for focal point. Special art was purchased to be used on back wall below vent hood, which created an inviting family feel that owners just loved.
